Caldwell Roach Insurance Fall Fundraising Campaign

Over the next few weeks we will be highlighting the stories of those people impacted by our Fundraising campaign. We will start with Greg Roach, owner, Caldwell Roach Insurance.

Greg’s Story:

As a locally-owned business, we strongly believe it is important for us to give back to the communities we live and work in. One of the organizations we provide support for is the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation. In the past we have supported their yearly Gala Event and golf tournament, but this year we wanted to do something a bit different.

This Fall we approached the Foundation to see if there was a specific need within the hospital that we could help them fundraise for. On their equipment wish list was a Diagnostic Bladder Scanner for the ICU. Right now, the ICU doesn’t have one of their own and they have to make arrangements with other departments to borrow one.

When we started talking about fundraising for the scanner at Caldwell Roach, I was surprised to learn that we already had several people in our company and community who have needed the use of the Bladder Scanner. Three people we know well have been impacted by this one machine, including one of our employees, Hank Isenor; a family member of one of our employees, Matt Robblee; as well as one of our clients Robin Wilber from Elmsdale Lumber. Over the next few weeks we will share with you their stories.

That impact on our people sealed the deal for me. We launched the fundraising campaign in October and I am so excited by the support in the community.

You can also help us by making a donation to the Caldwell Roach Equipment Fund at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/5714.

I know that the addition of the Bladder Scanner to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre will have a positive impact on both patients and staff in the ICU, helping to keep our community healthy.

Thank you for your support.
